Waffle supper to raise funds for annual Carlos school trip
Carlos Elementary School will host its annual Dad’s Belgian Waffle Supper on Thursday, April 17 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
All-you-can-eat waffles with a variety of toppings and sausage will be served with coffee, milk and water. The cost is $7 for adults, $5 for kids in grades k-6 and free for pre-k children.
The purpose of the fundraiser is to reduce the cost for 5th grade students to attend Deep Portage Conservation Camp next fall. In the past, with the help of this fundraiser, the school has been able to cut the trip cost in half for students.
At Deep Portage Conservation Camp, students are offered learning opportunities in a natural setting of more than 6,000 acres. Environmental classes include archery, tree identification, conservation, canoeing, rock climbing and more.
