Wadena husband, wife charged with sex crimes
A husband and wife face multiple sex crimes in Wadena County District Court for allegedly engaging an adolescent boy in sexual acts.
According to court documents, a Wadena County Human Services worker alerted police after interviewing Susan Rae Ruhl, 34. On Dec. 30, Susan Ruhl described incidents in which her husband, Jeremy Mark Ruhl, 33, directed sexual acts between her and the boy, including having her lie naked on the floor as the boy rubbed lotion on her, making a "human sandwich" with the boy, and giving the boy a "naked lap dance," court records said. The alleged incidents took place between September and December 2010.
Susan Ruhl was charged Jan. 7 with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and three counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. She was released on $2,500 cash bail. Her first court appearance was set for Jan. 18.
Jeremy was charged with one count of aiding and abetting first-degree criminal sexual conduct and three counts of aiding and abetting second-degree criminal sexual conduct. His first court appearance was set for Jan. 27.
