Volunteer for ‘Catch Healthy Habits’
Community Education is planning a new program this fall, Catch Healthy Habits, and is seeking volunteers. Catch Healthy Habits is an intergenerational program connecting adults ages 50 or older with children in grades K-5 to encourage healthy eating and active living.
Led by adult volunteers and supported by staff, weekly classes include a nutrition lesson, healthy snack and physical activities. Classes meet for an hour after school for eight weeks.
All materials are provided with the first training to be held the end of August. Other training is offered periodically through the year as needed. The program will begin in mid-September.
