Volleyball: Minnewaska succumbs to Benson in rematch

Minnewaska could not handle Benson's Emma Peterson, who dropped in eight ace serves in game two as the Braves swept the Lakers in West Central Conference action Thursday night.

Minnewaska won the first meeting between the two teams 3-1, but couldn't find the defense it needed in the second meeting.

Lexi Amundson had seven kills to lead the Laker offense, with Ariel Ostrander adding four.

Ashton Byrne had 18 set assists.

The loss dropped the Lakers to 8-4 in conference play and into a tie with BOLD for third place.
