Vintage fashion show and fall luncheon set for Saturday
More than 100 fabulous original vintage fashions from the turn of the century through the 1970s will be modeled by more than 30 men, women and children at the Prairie Wind Players fundraising event.
The fashion show is set for Saturday, September 26 starting at 11 a.m. in the Barrett Roosevelt Hall.
Reservations are required and can be made by calling Tammy at (218) 731-0212.
The collection of fantastic clothing is all original and features apparel most commonly worn during fall and winter.
The show will include women's fashions from the early 1900s; a fall and winter coat selection; vintage uniforms from all branches of the military, including a Vietnam era Red Cross volunteer uniform, known as donut dolly; maternity wear from the 1950s; and sleepwear.
The show will conclude with all models dressed in vintage evening wear.
Besides the fashion show, there will be a soup and sandwich lunch, including homemade bread and dessert.
A silent auction is also scheduled.
