UPDATE MONDAY: 19-year-old injured in rollover near Brandon Saturday

A 19-year-old man from Barrett was injured in a rollover near Brandon early Saturday morning.

Grant Alexander Reese, the lone occupant of the vehicle, was driving west on County Road 8 (the Barrett Road) shortly before 5 a.m. when he left the roadway and struck an approach near the intersection of County Road 7 south of Brandon, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

The vehicle flew into air and rolled in the south ditch. Reese was transported to the Douglas County Hospital with injuries. An update: Reese was treated and released.

The crash is under investigation by the sheriff's office. Also responding were the Brandon Fire Department and North Ambulance.
