UPDATE: Driver injured in Friday crash still in hospital

A driver who was injured after crashing into a tree in Alexandria Friday morning remains hospitalized in serious condition Tuesday.

The one-vehicle crash happened around 11 a.m. just west of the intersection of 13th Avenue West and Douglas Street. Gordon Jobe of Alexandria struck a tree, was trapped inside and had to be helped out of the vehicle.

He was transported by North Ambulance to the Douglas County Hospital.
