UPDATE 11 a.m. Garfield man is found safe

A missing Garfield man was found safe.

James Ernest Piere, 35, was located "alive and well" at about 10:30 a.m. this morning, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, which sent out an updated news release.

Piere was reported missing by his family on Wednesday, April 2.
