United Way announces three new board members
United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties recently added three new members to the United Way Board: Bill Finley, Kellie Janssen and Becky Zwilling.
Finley, the CFO at Tastefully Simple, has previously served on United Way's board. He has also been active in and served on other boards involving AAHA, GAIN, Alexandria Area Community and Technical College, District 206 and St. Mary's Church. He and his wife, Jenna, have three children and live in Alexandria.
Janssen brings leadership skills to the board. Having served as the United Way Campaign Chair in 2010-11, she desires to help enrich the lives of others. She believes United Way embraces local needs, and she looks forward to being a part of it.
In the past, Janssen was a member or served on numerous boards in Alexandria. Over the past three years she served on the United Way Golf Classic committee, Silent Auction committee and as a volunteer at the Beer and Wine Tasting Gala.
Janssen and her husband, Scott, have two children and both work at Henry's Foods.
With a history of involvement in Alexandria, Zwilling, her husband, Craig, and her two children own and operate H. Boyd Nelson Distributing in their hometown of Alexandria. Her involvement ranges from serving as District 206's Education Foundation board member to LAPW's chair of the annual style show scholarship fundraiser.
Zwilling brings another perspective to the board in organization and planning skills. She has supported United Way for a number of years by sponsoring the United Way Beer and Wine Tasting and contributing to the silent auction and golf classic.
