‘A Two Syllable Word’ to air Sunday
Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:
Members of an Alexandria writers group have penned vignettes about items people might find in a thrift store. They will share their work on Friday, April 11 at 7 p.m.
Tales from the Nifty Thrifty Shop is directed by Claudia Bursch and stars Nancy Klepetka, Pat Finnestad, Jim Thoreen, Curt Ostenson, Mari Senstad, Irene Pratt, Sharon Thalmann, Nancy Berns, Tim Ray, Bruce Wegner, Lindsey Roers, Kathy Ray, Rachel Barduson, Dedra Zwieg, Sherry Bruckner, Christy Meier, Gary Lund and Jamie Sandberg
Sandberg is also doing sound effects with Hilary Ninman. Bob Piotrowski will perform the music.
After the April 11 performance, LAT won’t have any live performances until Saturday, May 10 due to the Easter holiday and restructuring of LAT’s operations.

Shopping for a car is soon to bring a guy out of a deep funk. His buddies want him to get the perfect car and try their best to talk him into several domestic models.
Tune in to KXRA 1490 AM on Sunday, April 13 at 12:30 p.m. to hear A Two Syllable Word. Written and directed by Alexandria playwright Bob Sievers, the show stars Pete Woit, Joe Korkowski, Bruce Wegner, and Kathe Nelson.
Sound effects are by Hilary Ninman with Bob Piotrowski on the keyboard.
