Two intersections in Douglas County to get better lighting

The Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin an intersection safety lighting project at four intersections located in Wilkin, Grant and Douglas counties on Monday, June 22.

Crews will install two overhead lights at each of the following intersections:

•Highway 59 and Highway 27 west of Hoffman.

•Highway 29 and Douglas County Roads 13 and 42 at Carlos Corners.

•Highway 75 and Highway 55 west of Tenney (includes replacing red flashers).

•Highway 9 and Highway 55 west of Nashua.

Motorists should watch for workers, equipment and possible shoulder closures near the intersections.

All work is scheduled to be completed by July 1, weather permitting.

MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
