Two injured in Todd County crash

Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle crash that happened east of Osakis Thursday night.

Dustin Gilson of Westport was northbound on Todd County Road 57 in a Chevrolet truck when he slid through the intersection at County Road 4 and struck Darwin Maus of rural Osakis, who was driving a Chevrolet Impala, according to the Todd County Sheriff’s Office.

Maus was driving west at the time of the crash and went off the road. The Impala rolled over on its roof and Maus was extricated from the vehicle and transported by Sauk Centre Ambulance to St. Michael’s Hospital. He was later transferred to St. Cloud Hospital.

Gilson was transported by a personal vehicle to get treated for his injuries.

Osakis Fire and Rescue and Sauk Centre Ambulance assisted at the scene of the crash, which happened shortly before 5:30 p.m.
