Two injured in construction accident


Two men were injured in a construction accident on Wednesday, January 4.

The extent of their injuries are not known, but the men were reportedly working on a grain bin at 35494 115th Street in rural Farwell when the accident happened just after noon.


According to the Pope County Sheriff's Office, Nick Buell and Anthony Lambutis, employed by Gateway Building Systems, were working 30 to 40 feet off the ground when their equipment malfunctioned. One of the men reportedly fell to the ground.

Both men were taken to Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood.

Kensington First Responders, Glacial Ridge Ambulance and Pope County Sheriff's Office responded to the call.
