Two burglary suspects face felony charges


Two people have been charged for their alleged involvement in a burglary.

M. Sandgren, suspectA. Pedersen, suspectMichael L. S. Sandgren, 23, of Glenwood, and Ashley Joy Pedersen, 29, of Alexandria, were both charged with second-degree burglary, a felony.

According to Alexandria Police, around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 16, authorities received calls about a burglary-in-progress at 514 5th Avenue East in Alexandria.

APD reported that after allegedly stealing several items from inside the residence and loading those items into their vehicle, Sandgren and Pedersen got into the vehicle and left the area.

Officers stopped the vehicle several blocks away and both were taken into custody.

The vehicle reportedly contained numerous items of property from inside the residence that had been burglarized.

No one was home when the burglary happened, police reported.

Sandgren and Pedersen are due in court November 25.
