Trisko, Wilken and Trisko to perform free concert Thursday
Trisko, Wilken and Trisko will perform at the Red Willow Arts Coalition free concert on Thursday, June 27 at 7 p.m. on the lawn at the Douglas County Courthouse in Alexandria.
Dick Trisko is looking forward to returning to Alexandria. He will be joined on stage by his son, Lane, on drums and his former band mate Bob Wilken on keyboard.
After four years in the U.S. Navy, Trisko returned to Alexandria in the summer of 1971, and six months later, the band Gig, Wilk and Trisko was formed. They stayed together three years to the day.
After touring with the band Rhapsody in the 1970s, Trisko returned to Alexandria in 1980 as program director of KXRA FM Radio. During the decade, he played with Freddie Dean, Skyline and with Chuck Wencl's band Starfire.
Dick currently plays in the band Juke Box heroes, a three-piece rock 'n' roll band in its seventh year. He and his wife, Diane, live in Rochester.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. In the event of inclement weather, listen to KXRA 1490 AM for cancellation information.
