The Traveling Tree House, a mobile learning center, will travel throughout Douglas County to bring summer learning to children ages 4-11 for 10 weeks, Monday, June 16-Friday, August 22.

This opportunity is free, and no pre-registration is required.

Instruction is provided by certified teaching staff for approximately 90 minutes per location. Children will receive a free meal and book to keep.

Programming will occur rain or shine. Cancellation will occur in the event of severe weather. To keep up-to-date on programming, follow the Traveling Tree House on Facebook.

The bus will visit each site the same day/time each week, providing themed educational activities. Following is the schedule:

MONDAY

10:30 a.m. to noon: Osakis Osagi Park.

12:30 to 2 p.m. Maple Ridge Townhomes.

TUESDAY

8:30 to 10 a.m. Meadowland Mobile Home Park.

10:30 a.m. to noon: Alexandria Fillmore Park.

12:30 to 2 p.m. Hustad Mobile Home Park.

WEDNESDAY

8:30 to 10 a.m. Alexandria City Park.

10:30 a.m. to noon: Carlos City Park.

12:30 to 2 p.m. Miltona Elementary School.

THURSDAY

8:30 to 10 a.m. Garfield Park-A-While Gardens.

10:30 a.m. to noon: Brandon Lion’s Park.

12:30 to 2 p.m.
