Tori Long accepted to Ordway theater program

Tori Long, daughter of Tim and Deb Long and an 11th grader at Jefferson High School (JHS) in Alexandria, was selected for the Ordway's Triple Threat Musical Theatre Intensive.

After a brief auditioning period, Ordway executives selected around 40 high school students, including Long, to take part in the program.

This week-long summer program is designed for young individuals who show talent and promise in acting, singing and dancing to participate in training led by the theater industry's leading professionals.

As a member of JHS' theater department, Long has played roles such as Glory in Almost, Maine and Mrs. Bergmann in Spring Awakening. This spring, she will play Ado Annie in Oklahoma!

Long has also held numerous roles in Alexandria Area Arts Association plays and musicals and sings with the Jefferson Carolers.

The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts is recognized as the U.S.'s leading nonprofit performing arts centers.
