Tom Sult to give talk on managing personal health
The public is invited to attend a lecture by Dr. Tom Sult on his book Just Be Well, about how to be proactive when it comes to personal health.
The lecture will be held Sunday, January 19 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Alexandria Technical College auditorium, Room 743 (Information and Technology Building).
General admission tickets are $15. VIP tickets are $40 and include the lecture, a copy of Just Be Well, and a book signing and photo opportunity from 4 to 5 p.m.
The lecture will provide attendees the opportunity to learn how to be proactive in their health care, raise healthy kids and find optimal health through functional medicine.
Sult started in the medical field as a paramedic in an advanced life support mobile intensive care unit. From there he went to acupuncture school.
After a year in acupuncture school, he decided to go to medical school. He spent two years at St. Georgés University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Sult then transferred to the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
Sult is on faculty with the Institute of Functional Medicine and teaches doctors from around the world the principles of functional medicine. At 3rd Opinion, Sult applies the principles of functional medicine to his patients’ medical conditions.
