Todd County authorities arrest six suspects for burglaries, drugs
After a lengthy investigation, the Todd County Sheriff's Office arrested five suspects in connection with a string of residential burglaries and thefts in the area. A sixth suspect faces drug charges.
Several search warrants were executed during the investigation, which included assistance from the Long Prairie Police Department and the Central Minnesota Drug and Gang Task Force.
According to a news release issued Friday, those arrested included Jacob Whalen, 18, of Long Prairie, Brandon Dombovy, 20, of Long Prairie, a 17-year-old female from rural Browerville, a 16-year-old male from rural Sauk Centre and a 17-year-old male from rural Burtrum.
As a result of information gathered during the investigation another search warrant was executed at 415 1st Avenue North in Long Prairie where suspected methamphetamine was found.
Richard Anima, 19, of Long Prairie was arrested in connection with the controlled substances.
The burglaries happened at seven locations in and around Long Prairie and Burtrum.
The investigation, according to the sheriff's office, continues and is expanding.
