On Friday afternoon, the Dakota County Coroner stated that an autopsy concluded that 19-year-old Kathryn Rose Anderson, of Eagan, was the victim of a homicide.

Anderson was a 2008 Morris Area High School graduate.

Investigators in Tulsa, Oklahoma reportedly took a person of interest into custody late Friday afternoon. The individual in custody is a known acquaintance of the victim and will be questioned by investigators, law enforcement officials reported.

A passerby found Anderson's body at approximately 7:45 a.m. Thursday in a ditch along 30th Street NW and County Road 17 about six miles northwest of Owatonna.

The Steele County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension stated that the agencies are continuing their investigation in Minnesota, and that it's possible there may be other suspects in the case.

Anyone with information about Anderson's whereabouts on Wednesday, Dec. 2 into the morning of Thursday, Dec. 3 is urged to contact the Steele County Sheriff's Office at (866) 878-7964 or (507) 451-8232.
