Thunderstorm rumbles through area; expect more today

A thunderstorm rumbled through Douglas County last night, causing some scattered damage such as knocking down part of a large tree near the intersection of Sixth Avenue East and Spruce Street in Alexandria.

More thunderstorms are in the forecast today.

Al Edenloff is the news and opinion page editor for the Echo Press. He was born in Alexandria and lived most of his childhood in Parkers Prairie.
