The Evansville Arts Coalition (EAC) will offer its First Friday Concert featuring A Three Ray Show on Friday, August 1 at 7 p.m. at the Evansville Art Center. A free will donation will be accepted. Attendees are encouraged to bring a treat to share.
Tim Ray, recently retired from the University of Minnesota, Morris, devotes himself to playing guitar and singing. He is branching out into songwriting and storytelling to accompany his music. He gives of his time to EAC Open Mic, touring area nursing homes and entertaining all.
Chris Ray has been a singer/songwriter for the last 40 years. He has played in country and rock bands for the last 10 years. Lately, he is interested in music from the Iron Range, which has resulted in his latest CD, A Long Ways to Go.
Brad Ray brings experience and showmanship to this musical family. Having grown up on a farm near Barrett, his deep connection to the land is reflected in his songwriting. He has performed with the Prairie Wind Players in Barrett, and he performs weekly in the Cities with The High Strung String Band and Kung Fu Hippies.
The First Friday Concert activity is supported by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council through a Minnesota State Legislative appropriation.
