Three injured in Highway 29 crash Wednesday morning
Three people were injured in a crash north of Alexandria Wednesday morning.
The crash happened on Highway 29 north, near Carneva Acres, and involved three vehicles in a rear-end collision.
The section of Highway 29 where the crash happened is currently under construction.
According to Minnesota State Patrol Sergeant Jesse Grabow, all three vehicles were northbound when a vehicle driven by Julia Peery, 59, of Parkers Prairie struck a vehicle that was stopped in front of her for the construction zone.
That vehicle was driven by David Saxon Jr., 55, of Alexandria and included passengers Elizabeth Feulner, 56, of Alexandria and David Saxon III, 26, of Long Prairie.
After the initial impact, Saxon’s vehicle was pushed forward and struck a vehicle also stopped in the construction zone. The third vehicle involved was driven by Troy Aupperle, 39, of Alexandria.
Both the Saxons and Feulner were transported by ambulance to the Douglas County Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Peery was cited for “fail to use due care.”
