Theatre L'Homme Dieu (TLHD) held its third annual Run for the Roses fundraiser on Saturday, May 4 at the Alexandria Golf Club.

More than 100 people attended the Kentucky Derby-themed party. Volunteer help was offered by 15 members of the Newcomers.

Proceeds from the silent auction, 50/50 raffle, games and event went to support the programming that TLHD brings to the Alexandria area during the summer months.

The event was sponsored by Geneva Capital, Arabella Manor, Cullen's Home Center and Geyer Rental.

Donors to the silent auction and games included Doolittle's, Alexandria Area Arts Association, Walmart, Carlos Creek Winery, Cinema 9, Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center, Lake Region Eye Center, Pete's County Market and Hedine Jewelers.

Two of the items were a week-long stay at a villa in Puerto Vallarta and a two-night stay at Wynn Las Vegas.

TLHD looks forward to another summer of productions, with plans already under way for next year's Run for the Roses fundraiser, slated for Saturday, May 3.
