A variety of industry partners contributed nearly $200,000 of equipment discounts and donations, cash donations, and in-kind contributions to the project.

This included Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, Mazak, Graco Foundation, Advanced Machining Solutions, Bitzan Machine, BTD Manufacturing, Desman Engineering, Koep Machine, Metal Craft Machine and Engineering, Mold-Tech, Northwest Machine Technologies, Alexandria Pro-Fab, Turbine Pro's, ITW Heartland, Kitmaster, Alexandria Industries, Douglas Machine and Ultra Machine Corporation.

Thanks to their support, ATCC purchased a Mazak Turning Center, a Mazak Machining Center and the associated tooling that will help train students and meet the industry's demand for highly skilled graduates/workers.

The Mazak equipment has been purchased, installed, and is actively supporting the learning outcomes of the machine tool technology diploma and AAS degree programs, according to Dr. Chad Coauette, dean of customized training and health divisions at ATCC.

"The equipment will benefit our students and industry partners for years to come," he said.
