Tea Party meeting to feature Army general

The Alexandria Lakes Area Tea Party will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 11, starting with social time at 5:15 p.m. and the regular meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Broadway Ballroom, 115 – 30th Avenue South, Alexandria.

Attendees will be joined via Skype by General Paul Vallely, U.S. Army retired, and founder of Stand Up America. Vallely had a distinguished career of 32 years in the U.S. Army. He has been a military analyst on television and radio for more than 10 years and is also a guest lecturer on national security; international political and economic issues; strategic planning matters; and the global war against radical Islam. He has co-authored several books with General Thomas McInerney.

Vallely will share his expertise on these matters, as well as his concerns about the ongoing purge of senior military officials.

Al Edenloff

Al Edenloff is the news and opinion page editor for the Echo Press. He was born in Alexandria and lived most of his childhood in Parkers Prairie. He graduated with honors from Moorhead State University with a degree in mass communications, print journalism. He interned at the Echo Press in the summer of 1983 and was hired a year later as a sports reporter. He also worked as a news reporter/photographer. Al is a four-time winner of the Minnesota Newspaper Association's Herman Roe Award, which honors excellence in editorial writing.
