The Central Lakes Symphony Orchestra recently completed its first concert season and is gearing up for its next.

The group performed three concerts to a combined audience of more than 800 music enthusiasts.

The orchestra was formed last fall under the direction of Brad Lambrecht. The group boasts about 70 members from many local communities, including Alexandria, Nelson, Vining, Garfield, Brandon, Fergus Falls, Glenwood, Villard, Osakis and Miltona.

Members are 16 years of age or older and include nine parent-child performers.

The Central Lakes Symphony Orchestra has tentatively set dates for its 2010-2011 season.

The dates and titles for the upcoming season are as follows:

•Sunday, December 5 - Christmas with the Orchestra.

•Sunday, February 20 - For Children of All Ages.

•Sunday, March 13 - Chamber Music Concert.

•Sunday, May 22 - Music at the Winery.

Tickets will be available one month prior to each concert at Carlson Music Center in Alexandria.

The cost for individual tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Season tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for students.
