Summer songfest planned at Spruce Hill
Spruce Hill Church has been the site of many gatherings and celebrations in its long history, including this "summer fair" in the picture, held at the site many, many years ago.
A Summer Songfest will be held at the historic church on Sunday, July 21.
A prelude begins at 1:30 p.m. with Lynn and Al Olson and Jim and Don Allynn providing organ, piano, guitar and clarinet music.
At 2 p.m., back by popular demand, the Gordon Men's Choir will present a concert and lead congregational singing.
A special treat for the kids or the young at heart will be a horse-drawn wagon ride from the church to Spruce Hill Park for an old-fashioned picnic. All are welcome.
