Students participate in choir festival

Twenty-two students in grades 7-9 from Discovery Middle School in Alexandria participated in the West Central Middle Level Choir Festival in Barrett on Thursday, February 27. Seven schools were involved in the event.

All students were auditioned and earned a spot to perform with a boys or girls choir. Many participants sang solos at the performance. That same evening, the singers performed for friends and family.

The students who attended were 7th graders Lizzie Wangen, Bryce Brooks and Aisha Tahtamouni and 8th graders Rachel Meyer, Jasmine Springer and Lezli Luedeke. 9th grade participants were Dylan Wichtendahl, Tiara Windhorst, Henri Santelman, Sydney Jordahl, Jack Wieberdink, Kylee Johnson, Ian Hesteltine, Ellie Wallace, Brady Wolkow, Anthony McKay, Mari Senstad, Claire Wilmesmeier, Eric Welle, Josie Nelson, Ben Long, Kitana Grimmer, McKayla Petrie and Katie Coopet.
