--Authors Doug and Sally Mayfield from Deerwood will be at Cherry Street Books on Saturday, November 10 from noon until 2 p.m. for a book signing of their first novel, Angle of Declination.
The novel centers around Allison Hayes and her husband, Mike Bowman, a Vietnam vet, whose marriage seems perfect until their wanderlust brings them deep into the Canadian wilderness, where they are forced to confront their demons and watch their marriage crumble.

--Bremer Bank loan officers Cindy Maanum and Doug Jossart were recently named top producing loan officers by Minnesota Housing. Maanum and Jossart were recognized for their work on FHA and Home Help loans completed in the first six months of 2012.
Maanum is a vice president and mortgage loan officer with 36 years of banking experience at Bremer, including 27 years in the mortgage industry. Jossart is a vice president and mortgage loan officer with 32 years of banking experience, including 26 years working in the mortgage industry. He has been working in mortgage at Bremer for seven years.
Maanum and Jossart currently serve the western Minnesota communities in the Alexandria area.
