• Russell Pyle has joined Alexandria’s Animal Doctor as a full-time groomer. Pyle is a groomer from the Twin Cities area who specializes in all breeds of dogs and cats.
• Samantha Schofield recently joined The Village Business Institute (VBI) team as an employee assistance counselor in the Fargo office, where she will provide therapeutic services to individuals, families and couples.
Schofield’s areas of specialty include anxiety, communication, depression, gay/lesbian/bisexual and/or transgender issues, life and workplace stress, self-esteem and women’s concerns. Her previous employment included working as an intern with couples and family therapy at the North Dakota State University Family Therapy Center and as a family therapy intern for Clay County Outreach (Lakeland Mental Health) in Moorhead.
She received her Master’s in human development and family science with couples and family therapy option from North Dakota State University.
She is the daughter of Terry and Lynn Hausmann of Alexandria. She and her husband, Joel, live in Alexandria.

• Shannon Leininger was promoted to RN clinical director for housing at Ecumen Bethany Community. Leininger will oversee the home health and nursing care provided in Bethel Manor, Winona Shores and Memory Care/Pelican Bay Assisted Living Household. Leininger will manage more than 20 staff members that provide 24-hour care and emergency response to those living on campus with services. Leininger has served as RN nurse manager for the short-term rehab area of Bethany Home for 10 years.
Locally, Ecumen Bethany Community offers independent living, housing with services, care center, memory care, adult day services, senior fitness center and short-term rehabilitation on campus.
