AgCountry Farm Credit Services donated more than $14,000 toward hunger relief efforts in eastern North Dakota and northwest and west central Minnesota.
The Alexandria office made a contribution to the Douglas County Outreach Food Shelf and the Pope County Food Shelf. This is the 23rd year AgCountry FCS has donated funds to local hunger relief efforts.

Minnesota-based American Solutions for Business (ASB) recently announced that Financial Supply, Inc. (FSI) has joined ASB, effective April 1.
FSI has been a major supplier to financial institutions and more recently has expanded to several other industries. The FSI group consists of seven sales associates, based in three Midwest states, Missouri, Illinois and Minnesota, and three support staff members.
ASB is a distributor of printing, promotional products, eCommerce, office supplies and strategic marketing solutions.
St. Paul-based Morrissey Hospitality Companies have announced Caitlin Dunn, a native and resident of Alexandria, as the new general manager of Crossings Inn and Suites of Parkers Prairie. Dunn has served as the general manager of the Days Inn Hotel in Alexandria for the past 12 months.
Christine Schroeder of Alexandria was awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. The AIF designation signifies specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of fiduciary care.
Schroeder is managing director and private wealth manager for StoneBridge Wealth Management, LLC. As a fiduciary, Schroeder specializes in corporate retirement plans and private wealth management.
Minnesota-based American Solutions for Business (ASB) recently announced the hiring of David Del Zoppo as vice president of finance and accounting. Del Zoppo has more than 34 years of experience in public accounting, internal audit, operations and finance. Most recently, he worked with CliftonLarsonAllen. His industry background includes positions in manufacturing, software development, technology and wireless and traditional telecommunications.
He is a graduate of St. Cloud State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in business and accounting. In his new position, Del Zoppo will be responsible for managing the banking relationships, supervising the 29-member finance team, working to improve profits and cash flow, and functioning as a member of the senior leadership team. He will be working from ASB's home office, based in Glenwood.
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans recently received an Excellence in Financial Literacy Education (EIFLE) Award for its Do One Thing Differently program. The award, given by the Institute for Financial Literacy, honors individuals and organizations for their efforts to enhance financial literacy education among Americans of all walks of life. Thrivent took top honors in the Education Program of the Year Adult General Category for the Do One Thing Differently workshop.
Do One Thing Differently is designed to inspire people to identify one financial challenge and then make a change, according to Mary Vandehey, a membership benefits director with Thrivent.

Dustin Assel recently joined the Drummond Law Office in Alexandria as a new associate attorney. Assel is a native of Bismarck, North Dakota, where his family still resides. He will practice primarily in the areas of workers' compensation and Social Security disability.
He graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2009 and graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul in 2012. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Minnesota.
The J.D. Power and Associates 2013 Financial Advisor Satisfaction Study recently ranked Edward Jones Highest in Employee Advisor Satisfaction among Financial Investment Firms. Eight financial services firms were ranked. This is the fifth time J.D. Power has conducted the study since 2007.
Edward Jones financial advisors gave the highest satisfaction ratings in eight of the nine study factors, which placed the firm 212 points ahead of the industry average.

She has an interior design degree and has actively practiced design for a number of years, and has experience in the gift and floral business. From blueprints to professional installation, Juergens will help customers with estimates, bids and product selection such as style, color, texture and price point.
Michelle Pierce at Racquetball Plus and Body Spa in Alexandria recently returned from the National Strength and Conditioning Association's National Personal Trainers Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pierce is a graduate of the health and fitness program with a degree in exercise science from Alexandria Technical and Community College, graduating top of her class. She brings with her more than 16 years of coaching experience and certifications in personal training. She also has certifications in kettle bell, indoor cycling, fitness nutrition, Pilates and is a metabolic specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
She is teaching several classes, as well as doing personal training at Racquetball Plus and Body Spa.
