• Anne Major, vice president of Home Care and Hospice at Knute Nelson, recently completed her Master of Business Administration from ithe University of Mary, Bismarck, North Dakota. Major leads a team of clinical professionals who serve clients in their homes with home health aide, skilled nursing, therapy, and end-of-life services in 25 counties throughout the West Central Region of Minnesota. Major also serves as the chair of the Minnesota Home Care Association Board of Directors.
• Brooke Zabel was named Knute Nelson’s vice president of human resources. In her role, she is responsible for all employee relations initiatives, including recruitment, benefits, leadership and education, performance management, compensation and safety. She leads with more than eight years of human resource management and marketing experiences.
Zabel holds a Bachelor of Science in mass communications and minors in speech communication and sociology from North Dakota State University, Fargo.
Zabel is a certified Professional in Human Resources. She serves as the vice president of the West Central Minnesota Chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management and is a member of the Calvary Lutheran Preschool Board of Directors.
• Judy Thielke, life enhancement director at Knute Nelson, was recently awarded the Health Care Auxiliary of Minnesota (HCAM) “Heart of Minnesota” Award for Outstanding Volunteer Resource Professional. The award was presented to Thielke at the annual HCAM conference held in Brainerd.
The HCAM is an organization of auxiliaries and/or volunteer groups serving health care facilities across Minnesota. HCAM represents 100 health care auxiliaries in Minnesota totaling in excess of 22,000 persons volunteering in services to hospitals and long-term care facilities.
• Lorie Irwin recently joined RE/MAX Lakes Area Realty in Alexandria. She previously owned Clips N Cuts, Masters of Hair Design in Alexandria and Oak Street Stylist in Sauk Centre. She sold the salons and moved to the Twin Cities for her husband’s career. After working in outside sales for major beauty supply companies, she acquired a real estate license in 1997 and has been working full time ever since.
