Streak boys basketball team falls to Long Prairie-Grey Eagle
A poor second half ended up costing the Osakis boys' basketball team in a 55-47 loss against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle on January 3.
The Silverstreaks trailed by just one point at the break. The Thunder came out strong in the second and put up 32 points on their way to the win.
"We came out right away and performed very well, moving the ball around, hitting shots, and playing solid defense," head coach Chris Stroup said. "After that, we got tentative and allowed Long Prairie to control the game. Bottom line is we didn't perform well enough on either end to win."
Matt Laven made five-of-eight shots from behind the arc on his way to 20 points. Adam Sadlemyer also chipped in with 13, seven coming from the free throw line.
"We are showing good things," Stroup said. "We just need to buy in to the whole package and play consistent."
The Silverstreaks fell to 3-4 with the loss.
