A short term mission team of six people from St. Luke’s Church in Garfield recently returned from Port au Prince, Haiti.

They spent time at an orphanage for teenagers, did work projects, worshiped at an LCMC church and spent some time in a tent city that houses approximately 600 families.

The group also visited a Christian-based school room in the middle of that tent city. It was started by a young Haitian man, who was supported by Christians in an orphanage as he grew up.

The team members will give two presentations about the trip on Sunday, March 23 at St. Luke’s Church at 9:45 a.m. between services and at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
