The 6'2" middle and right hitter transferred to the Oles for this past season after spending a year at Division I Texas A & M Corpus Christi.

She wasted no time making an impact for her new team. Carlson was one of three St. Olaf players named to the All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) team. She finished the season second on the team in kills with 323 and was first in total blocks with 134.

Carlson helped the Oles become one of the best Division III teams in the country. They won the MIAC title with an 11-1 record and posted an overall record of 31-5. That included a run to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III tournament before their season was ended by conference rival and regional champion, St. Thomas.
