GIRLS GOLF

Osakis 8th grader Alayna Eldred is picking up right where she left off last season after making her first state tournament as only a 7th grader.

Eldred led the Osakis girls’ golf team to a first-place finish at the Central Minnesota Conference tournament in Pierz on Thursday as the Silverstreaks shot a team score of 181. Eldred carded a 43, while teammate Emily Backes was right behind her with a 45.

All four of Osakis’ scores were in the 40s as Annalise Savageau finished with a 46. Peyton Garcia rounded out the scorers with a 47.

ADAPTED BOWLING

The Alexandria adapted bowling team dropped its first match of the season in the CI Division on Thursday, while the PI Division improved to 6-1 with a win over Anoka-Hennepin.

Matt Froemming finished with the high game for Alexandria after rolling a 146. Members of the 400 club included Abby Neale, Kacey Scharffbillig, Mandy Despiegler, Ryan Frick, Tyler Rauscher and Zach Long.

Kari Berg, Lily Hjelle, Stephen McCabe and Jack Botzet teamed up in the PI Division for a team score of 1,519 to win by 14 over their opponents.
