Sports roundup: Osakis Legion punches ticket to state, Anchors win
Osakis 7, New London-Spicer 6
The Osakis Legion baseball team punched its ticket to the Legion state tournament on Saturday by edging New London-Spicer in the District 7 title game in Montevideo.
Jordan Frederick came across with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh as Ky Zimmel sent his team off as a winner with a walk-off RBI double. It was the second win of the tournament over New London-Spicer as Osakis will head to state from August 1-3 in Luverne with just one loss this summer. That was against a good Alexandria team over the Fourth of July Tournament.
BLUE ANCHORS BASEBALL

Alexandria pounded out 15 hits and added three-run innings in the fourth and sixth frames. Rickey Sanchez had three hits, two runs and an RBI. Kris Goodman and Cam Duzenack each had two hits and combined for four runs, while Craig Nennig was 3-for-6 with two runs and three RBIs.
Zach Muckehhirn got the win for Alexandria. He went five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits with three walks and four strikeouts.
These two teams will play again today at 1:05 p.m. at Knute Nelson Ballpark to wrap up a four-game series.
