Songs and Stories 'Round the Campfire: A Celebration of Summer will take place at Carlos Creek Winery on June 20, 7 to 9 p.m. The evening will feature songs and stories led by balladeer Mikko Cowdery and storyteller Paulette Friday along with musicians Mary Pohl, Terry Kennedy and Bill Riggs. The cost is $5, and the event will be held rain or shine.

Everyone Has a Story series is a unique partnership of area organizations joining together to offer interactive experiences for the community to explore story, history and identity through a variety of perspectives.

Partners include Alexandria Adult Education, the Douglas County Historical Society, Friends of the Library, Lakes Area Theater, Alexandria Branch of American Association University Women, Diversity Resource Action Alliance and the Alexandria Cultural Inclusiveness Committee. The Minnesota Humanities Center and the Alexandria Community Foundation provided special funding.
