Someplace Safe seeks award nominations
This year marks Someplace Safe’s 35th anniversary of offering safety, options and hope to thousands of individuals and families across West Central Minnesota.
It would like to recognize those who have made this possible. The public is invited to nominate someone, or a group of individuals, for one of Someplace Safe’s Community Recognition Awards.
Nominations are due by Monday, March 7. Download a nomination form at www.someplacesafe.info/learn-more/communityawards. Nominations are accepted for:
Ally Award: A person who makes a difference in the community, bringing awareness to violence by working with service providers such as police officers, policy makers, prosecutors, mental health professionals, business owners or medical professionals.
Volunteer Award: A person who volunteers time and talent to bring awareness to violence within their communities.
Survivor Award: A person who has taken great strides in life to become a survivor of violence.

Nominators and winners will be notified once final decisions are made. Awards will be given at Someplace Safe’s 35th Anniversary Banquet and Celebration on Friday, May 9.
