Laura Paulson led the Lakers to an easy 8-1 win in the nightcap after they scored two runs in the seventh inning to win 4-3 in the opener.

Paulson scattered six hits and struck out six in a complete-game win in game two. She once again did a little bit of everything to help her team win. Aside from holding the Warriors to one run, Paulson went 3-for-5 at the plate with three RBIs and a run scored.

Abby Kreitlow also had a big game at the plate with two hits, two RBIs and a run scored. She was joined by Jordon Stalker and Aundrea Johnson with two hits apiece.

The Lakers needed some late-game heroics in the opener to win their 18th straight. Minnewaska has gotten big hits when needed up and down its lineup this season. This time it was Stalker who provided the big hit.

The Warriors scored three runs in the sixth inning to turn a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 lead. The Lakers went scoreless in the bottom of the sixth before Brooke Falk, Hayley Blair and Kreitlow all singled to lead off their half of the seventh. Christy Gass induced a fly out to short for the first out. That set up the heroics for Stalker, who ended the game with a two-RBI single that scored Falk and Blair.
