The Cardinals also had three players named All-Central Lakes Conference in Snell, Sjostrand and Marissa Wheeler. Ellie Bergstrand and Schueler were named honorable-mention selections.

Alexandria was equally as impressive in the classroom this season with a team GPA of 3.90. Six seniors received Gold Awards for a GPA of 3.70 or higher in Sjostrand, Wheeler, Vickstrom, Telander, Jenna Steffl and Snell.

Alexandria finished the fall season with a 17-8 record overall and a 7-4 mark in the CLC. That was good for third place in the conference. Assistant coach Steve Haug was also named the Section 8AA Assistant Coach of the Year.

“Steve has been a big part of our coaching staff for six seasons now and also a big reason for all of our success,” head coach Dave Ronning said.
