Head coach Matt Hoelscher said some breakdowns in Osakis’ transition and post defense helped give the Johnnies a lead in the second half. The Silverstreaks cut the lead down to six in the final minute, but it could not climb any closer.

“They had great ball pressure and closed down the paint on our drive, forcing long shots,” Hoelscher said. “We got forced into doing things we didn’t want to do, which caused turnovers and poor spacing.”

Drew Fearing and Lane Berberich both led the Silverstreaks with 14 points each.

The loss dropped the Silverstreaks to a 5-16 overall record this season.
