The Jefferson High School (JHS) choirs, along with director Steve Deitz, will host the vocal band "Six Appeal" on Wednesday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. at Discovery Middle School (DMS) in Alexandria.

Six Appeal will also conduct educational seminars with the Silhouettes, a singing group at JHS, and an inservice with the JHS music department. The group will also appear in a school assembly at Voyager Elementary School in the afternoon.

Six Appeal uses a cappella singing to span decades of classic oldies, current chart toppers and original tunes. The group explores all genres with a far-reaching repertoire.

The members of Six Appeal are formally instructed in singing and musical composition, with more than 70 combined years of musical training. The group started in 2006 at Concordia College in Moorhead. In 2010, the group moved their home base to Minneapolis and began touring the country.

The public is welcome to attend the evening concert at DMS. Tickets are $12 for adults; $6 for students.
