Sign language classes set

The Alexandria Lions Club and Zion Lutheran School in Alexandria will offer a sign language class beginning August 7.

Both a beginner and intermediate class will be offered for those who want to learn a new language and different way to communicate.

American Sign Language (ASL) alphabet, finger spelling, numbers, colors, animals, signs and a song will be taught during seven sessions.

Instructor Jan Scearcy was an educational interpreter for 20 years.
