Seminar helps grievers get through the holidays
The 20th annual "Getting through the holidays" grief seminar is set for Thursday, November 18 from 7 to 9 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, 822 Douglas Street in Alexandria.
The seminar is for anyone grieving the death of a loved one and those who have lost a loved one and are concerned about how to get through the holidays for the first time. Area professionals will offer insight, strategies, tips and suggestions to help ease the anxiety the holidays can bring.
The event is sponsored by Anderson Funeral Home, New Horizon Organization, Douglas County Public Health Hospice, area parish health nurses, Elder Network, Alexandria Area Support Group for Grieving Parents and First Lutheran Church.
