On Sunday, July 6, at approximately 5:15 a.m., the Minnesota State Patrol responded to a crash involving a semi truck on Interstate 94, east of Alexandria.

According to State Patrol Sergeant Jesse Grabow, a semi truck crashed on its side in the eastbound left lane. Grabow said it appears the semi gradually left the road and went into the median before overturning. The driver of the semi, Ivan Khadzhi, 33, of Vancouver, Washington was not injured. The truck and trailer was reportedly loaded with cherries.

 The crash remains under investigation.
