Semi rolls over near Kensington

A semi-truck driver suffered minor injuries when his rig rolled over near Kensington Wednesday afternoon.

Frederick R. Morin of Johnstown, Colorado was traveling northbound on County Road 1 about one mile north of Kensington shortly after 2 p.m. when he lost control of the vehicle, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

The semi entered the east ditch and then went over a driveway, causing it to roll over.

The semi was fully loaded at the time of the crash.

Morin suffered cuts and scratches from broken glass but wasn't transported to the hospital.

The crash is under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. Assisting agencies included the Kensington Fire Department and First Responders, North Ambulance and the State Patrol.
