A strong second half by Wheaton-Herman-Norcross ended Ashby's season as the Arrow boys fell 73-56.

"We knew this had the makings of a tough game going into tonight," said Ashby head coach Jeremy Knick. "Wheaton has had a good season and we just played them last week and beat them at their place, so we know they were coming for revenge.

"They had that edge tonight and played better and earned the win," he added. "The hardest part about tonight is that it was the last game for four outstanding seniors.

"J.P. Moe, Tanner Langlie, Dylan Barry and Allard LaRue have been playing basketball together for a lot of years. They have set the bar high as far as commitment and work ethic go.

"Lots of people use the expression, 'It will be hard to replace them,' but for me, it is going to be near impossible to envision not having them around," said Knick. "They are great young men and I hope they go on to do great things in their next phase of life."

Moe finished the game with 15 points and Langlie with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Blake Ohren led all scorers with 20 points, five rebounds and two blocked shots.

Ashby closed its season with a 19-7 overall record.
