The Silverstreaks rolled over the rest of the field, winning by 41 shots with their team score of 374. West Central Area also earned a trip to the section tournament by finishing second with a 415. The two teams will play in Benson, today, Wednesday.

Kelsey Ross, last year's Class A state medalist, was once again up to the challenge come tournament time. She finished first in Glenwood with an 83. Annalise Savageau and Peyton Garcia also qualified individually for the section tournament with rounds of 94 and 97, respectively.

Megan Amundson did the same for West Central Area. She carded a 98 to lead the Knights to their runner-up finish. Megan Keep shot a 101, Tiana Christenson a 107 and Tiffany Boysen rounded out the scoring for WCA with a 109.

"The wind was very much a factor on Wednesday at Minnewaska," Knights' head coach Kari Kreft said. "It was affecting both the long ball and our putting. The girls did their best to play smart, but all in all, scores were higher than usual. That being said, the conditions were the same for all golfers. We did what we needed to do to move on to the next level and are excited for Wednesday."
